OMG! Tiscali!! Help!

Hi all,

Over the past 2 years we have had our phone and broadband with tiscali.

12 months ago i changed our Direct Debit to come out of our joinT account that my OH deals with.

Only just realised that Tiscali have not been taking the payments!!

I have NOT received any letters asking for payments etc and they have not cut us off!! So last night when i phone them with a techie problem they just drop into the conversation that i owe them almost £700!!!!!

How can they do this!! Surely any other company would have tried to contact me and cut the services off?!AARRGH!!

  • They are more than able to say that, if they have not taken the money out then surely you have an extra £700 or should have released.

I would try and negotiate incremental payments. You are going to have to pay somehow.
    Buy for value not cost.

  • they did the same thing to me in the past, except I didn't change accounts or anything, they just stopped taking money but kept giving me my service.
after a bit of shouting, a bit of sweet talking, and a bit more shouting, I got them to agree a sensible monthly addition to my payments until I cleared the debt.
phone them, badger them until they let you talk to someone with a bit more clout than a call-centre worker, then play it by ear. it's their mistake. push comes to shove just tell em you're gonna cancel everything and they can go whistle for their money. they'll listen.
