    Microsoft one is ok'ish' for real time protection but useless for finding spyware already on your system. Internet explorer full of holes for spyware to come in so therefore Microsoft don't want everyone to know this.....

    Microsoft Beta is more reliable at detection and removal
    than AdAware in recent reviews.

    Yep...I saw that report, Intel. My own view is MSAS "detects" spyware, Ad-Aware (an excellent program) detects adware. Not always the same thing.

    You must use more than one program. Me....I have about 7 programs all keeping me safe.

    Wombat....further to my query in post #7 I've got another question on Pest Patrol.

    The programs at the link you gave do LOOK free don't they...

    But if I'm not mistaken, the only thing thats free is the download, or the 30 day trial.

    Pestpatrol is Shareware $29.95 not freeware.
