Which frontpage do i download?

Answer = none of the above, they are addons to frontpage

Frontpage used to be a standalone product for purchase, I believe its only available as part of MS office now

Are the templates Frontpage specific ?

Notepad will be fine for editiing them

....in older versions of office. Frontpage hasn't existed for a couple of years. Nearest equivalent is Microsoft Expression Web which is actually more of a competitor to Dreamweaver in layout and methodology. There's also Sharepoint Deisnger but that's useless unless you're using Sharepoint server and technologies.

Try this its free and it has a good rating, but really nothing beats dreamweaver but then your talking big money for that, so I would go for the free option.

aint frontpage express still bundled with Windows???

i have a frontpage express folder in my program files, but i dont think i installed in when I set up the PC. Version 3 I think. on XP professional.

Edit opps i created a new post instead of editing my previous one sorry.

Only if you got a version of works suite or something pre installed. I've got XP Pro and it's not part of Windows XP as far as I know. If it is it must be such an old version to be pretty rubbish compared to the freeware currently out there.

No, it was not bundled on my windows and computer was only bought new a couple of years ago.

I've used it for years for the pages on a website I run (http://www.bfcsa.co.uk/index.htm).

I've tried other freeware packages and I've always come back to Frontpage Express. I know it's very old fashioned but for static HTML it does what it says on the tin.
