Water in PC Monitor

We somehow had a leak from the upstairs bathroom, which started dripping water down through the ceiling onto our PC Workstation
The monitor picture began to flicker then looked like it was zooming in and out before just 'switching off' and not coming back on again
We've opened the back of the monitor and are leaving it for 24 hours to see if that helps to evaporate excess moisture, but what else can we do and is this the end for our huge 19" monitor (CRT)??

Corrosion of what? I've left it open now near (but not too close to) the radiator. I'm feeling confident so may try it later this evening.
I've seen 19" TFT's for around £200 - it seems better value to actually buy a PC Package for that. We'd like to replace it soon but it's a P3 800Mhz and I'd really like to wait till the 64-bit processors are widely available and Windows Vista has had problems ironed out before investing in a whole new package. But this screen needs to be fixed/replaced now, so if you know any good places to get a TFT for a good price, please let me know! :TThat, is an excellent question...0 -

Corrosion of the wiring, but that mostly occurs from salt water.0
