I currently have a single claim for tax credits this is obviously based on my earnings for last year and estimated earnings for next. I want to get back with my husband so need to cancel my current claim and start a new one as a couple. This will obviously include my husbands earnings for last year will this mean i then owe money back or is it a completly different claim as we havent been with each other for the last year. I'm really confused please help! x

The claims are treated independently. As long as you notify TCO straight away when you have got back together you shouldnt be overpaid.0
