HP Pavillion 700 problems

Now the computer wont start properly
Windows starts to boot then before the final stage it just restarts itself, over and over
It does the same in safe mode

I'm not sure if its a hardware aor software problem caused by the virus

Theres no recovery disc. It was never provided when computer was bought and the shop that sold it are unhelpful
no help from HP either

has anyone any ideas on a solution?

do you have an old copy of windows on a cd...?
if so insert and try booting up with that.... make sure you cancel if it tries to install.

this will proove whether the issue is with your hardware (hard disk issue springs to mind)

re the recovery discs.... i think they expect you to create some .... there is an option to create (but cant remember where, as its so long ago)

Recovery Disc Creation on my HP is in: start/all programmes/recovery manager/recovery disc creator. The instructions prompted me to create discs when I first booted up the pc. Failing that it also said I could buy them from HP
