Hi I had this yesterday, I was in Norwich and the first store I went into I only got 1 offer and that was not very good, but when I tried in another store still in Norwich I had loads of offers, so I think some acm's differ in what they have for you.
My local is so small though they don't have an acm machine:sad:0 -
hi everyone, just got back from another trip to boots:D
I had to return a bottle of san tropez, cause the spray cap didn't work. So i exchanged it for the 1/2 price gift set, and just paid extra £4.50. and got a pinkie:D
Not sure if its already been mentioned, but the model me shampoo's have been reduced to £1.25 each, so i bought a couple of these.0 -
Great shop today!!! I got a No7 mirror for just £5 using the £5 electrical voucher from the mailing, a no7 pinky and a no7 till spit! Did this at a manned till, had a couple quid of other items for some skimpy cover. I'm so pleased, this may be the best shop I've ever had as this was something I truly need as my other makup mirror broke recently!
I will say this mirror is very nice too, though not very bright. But my last one wasn't either, and I remedy this by using a goose-neck desklamp placed atop my printer to shine down plenty of light.
Thanks so much to Ess-six for swapping vouchers and doing it so promptly, as I was actually going to just use my till spit and electrical voucher today, but since I had the pinky too, I gave it a go. Turns out my store is only issuing till spits, even at manned tills, so the pinky was very handy!!
Edit: Forgot to say, then I went and had a free drink at Starbucks with the ad from today's Guardian.0 -
Hi there, and welcome to the thread
Whereabouts are you going shopping? Most Boots are running Xmas points evenings around 22nd/23rd/24th October, depending on where you are. If you could wait until then, you can gain an extra £10 of points for every £50 you spend.
Otherwise, Boots are doing an offer of the week, where they reduce one product from the Christmas range to half price. They will pick a new product each week, and it will still be on 3 for 2. This week's product is a St. Tropez body collection kit, which is half price at £22.25 instead of £45 http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=121466
I'm not sure if this is only half price for today though, or if it's on offer for the whole week
If you can't wait for a points evening, check the ACM for total spend vouchers. Say for instance, you get 150 points when you spend £20, I would split my shops up into £20 transactions (obv still doing the 3 for 2, so may be higher on some transactions if you are buying more costly items) and use a 150 points voucher each time. However your Advantage card would get a much bigger boost if you can wait for a points evening.
If you can't wait, maybe you could order online instead, as there are discount point codes at the moment over on the discount thread. I think there is one for £7.50 of points when you spend £75, but there may be better codes nearer the time. Of course you don't get the £5 off No 7 voucher when you shop online, so if you would use those then that may swing it in favour of hitting the high street!
As for not getting good deals on the ACM- make sure you use your card on every purchase. Over time, Mr Boots will build up a picture of what you buy and so will then start to offer you savings on products relevant to you.
HTH and good luck with the long shopping list!somemoneywouldbnice wrote: »Hi, off to Boots tomorrow, early Christmas shopping. I have a list as long as my arm! Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding bargains?

Boots waterproof disposable cameras are BOGOF normally £8.99 each, but some of them have older stickered barcodes on them (5045095157081), (the newer batch don't have stickered barcodes), going through at £2.25 each and BOGOF.
So 2 cameras for £2.25 and sales assistant told me if i get them developed there i'll get 100 points on each one.
Hope this helps someone.

I'll be hitting Boots tomorrow - if I acquire any spare pinkies I'll let you know.0 -
Not sure if anyone's posted about these yet, but today I used points for this:
http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=641613&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051
It's sooo cute I couldn't resist itand really eye-catching (it must be - I went straight towards it instead of the clearance section :rotfl: ) and the eau de toilette's nice too. They'd make a really nice gift for Christmas imo.
Talking of clearance, they had some Roc eye rescue (or something) for £32.99  I daren't ask what the original price was
And OH got a mailing :T but I still didn'tAnd the invitation that most peeps are getting for the Christmas Shopping Evening
but I'm not  :rotfl:
I'll list his mailing later to see if anyone can help me spend themx

Had to pop back as I just realised that the website's saying the Children in Need EDT is 30ml, but it's 100ml, so even better
