The products in the s&g gwp look like the same ones that are in the grab-bag, minus one and the hairbrush!

    Hi all,

Went to Chester today, they had loads of the Gift Catalogues, not had a proper look yet;)

Bought CK One perfume, its on offer for £15, paid £10 using the Fragrance voucher and got a pinkie;)

Picked up a few of the little booklets that have the half price FCUK weekend bag voucher, so if anyone wants one please pm me.

    No7 vouchers gone now, sorry

Has anyone had much luck buying an oral-B electric toothbrush, using the £5 electrical pinkie and the £5 tillspit as well as the 1500 pc coupon. I tried twice today, left the toothbrushes both times!

The first time I had 2x £14.99 toothbrushes and some toothbrush heads to bring it over £30 (I'm not sure if they are included in either offer). But the sa scanned the 1500 (before the £5 vouchers) and it beeped. She told me that I couldn't use the 1500 on two or more items, and I had to buy one toothbrush over £30.

So, off I went, and got a £39.99 toothbrush. Took it to another SA who scanned the 1500 voucher - which beeped again. 'Not to worry' she said 'we'll add the points later'. So I gave her the 2x£5 vouchers (she was adamant they wouldn't work together, and she got in a right mood when I asked her to try! ). She then tried to add the 1500 voucher manually, but said that it was too high amount, and went to ask someone. When she came back she said 'I thought so - it's under the £30' Is this right? Or should it be based on the amount prior to the £5 vouchers?

Anyway, I told her I would leave it, and she proceeded to give me a refund. She was trying to refund me £34.99, so I said no - it was £39.99. She then started saying no it was £34.99 and was being pretty aggressive in her way about it. I said no - it's £39.99, and asked someone else to scan it. No appology - a very rude sa - and it has put me off going there again. I was nearly in tears going out.

Oh and she gave me the two £5 vouchers back with the barcode scribbled out- not sure if they can be used again! No toothbrush for hubbie but at least I kept the £5 No7 voucher :p

Sorry to go on - but it really stressed me out!

Aww bless, don't let them get you to tears! ((hugs)).
Yes you can definately use the voucher again even it it has been scribbled on. If SA says anything, you could just tell her you were going to use it last time, thus the previous SA scribbling on it, but then you realised you'd forgotten something (purse/voucher etc) so you voided the transaction and she handed it you back like this - albeit unused ;)

    Chin up sweetie

  • Just my luck! I thought it was £10 spend...........I even grabbed a chocolate bar to make it up to a tenner, I even told the SA I wanted to make it up to £10 so I got the Pinky! Yo think she would have told me I was wrong! Nevermind I know now!

    Dx

I spent £10 on a phone top up today and didn't get the pinky, no mention of it on the receipt either.... and no signs instore -I thought I had made a mistake about the date the promotion was starting so let it pass. Now I have seen that lots of folk on here have got them I feel cheated....lol!

Jessie_yi (?) had a very similar experience to you I think with these vouchers. I tried using the pc voucher and an elec voucher and was refused the pc one, so didn't bother.

I'm confused - I know this voucher used to work! I've seen plenty of vouchers which have beeped because we've not used them properly, or because the till's not been set up yet; but I think this is the first time I've seen a voucher that's previously been working fine, and then suddenly stopped working on products when used properly against the correct items  Why would Mr B issue this voucher, then seemingly cancel it, because that's what it appears has happened?
