I am looking for a easy-to-use but good quality digital camera for my daughter for hopefully under £100. Does anyone know of any bargains out there?
    Thanks

At the moment Morrisons have a Fujifilm 8.3 megpixels digital camera with 4 x optical zoom and a 512 xd card for £49

For the price an absolute bargain, especially for a novice first - timer.

The Fugi Finepix F series cameras lead the way in small digital compacts for image sharpness and lowlight capabilities. They might not have all the features of other cameras, but then why do you need to pay extra for a pile of features you'll never use? Definately a brilliant wee camera which will beat most compacts in the same + even higher prices bracket.

Fuji Finepix F40fd are on sale at £84.99. One of the best small compacts to be found under £150.

Totally agree on the Fuji Great camera for the money.

for those considering to buy small campact cameras you should consider the amount of megapixels in comparison with the size of it's sensor. The fugi F series cameras have larger sensors than any other compact camera and this results in more crisper photos. Almost all other brands have used mega-pixels as their marketing campaigns, telling the customer that more mega-pixels are better, when in fact more mega pixels are worse unless they increase the size of the sensor like on the Fugi f series cameras.

for those wanting know more about the mega-pixel game, read here

another thing to bear in mind is that when a compact camera offers all these additional options to adjust your photos after they were taken, especially options like making the pic brighter or adding more colour, etc. This does not mean the camera is better than opthers, it usually means the camera is componsating for not providing a good picture in the first place.
  • Anyone know the model of the Morrisons camera.
  • I think its the Fujifilm finepix A820 8.3mp camera with 512 MB memory card
