Getting a Wii and Wii Fit in USA?

I am out in America for a while and wondered if it was worthwhile getting a Wii here and Wii fit. I spotted Wii fit for $85 dollars the other day.

Any advice would be great thanks.

Don't know for sure how right it is, but have heard on another thread here a couple of months ago that if you do and then bring it back to UK to use, that it won't work as the systems there are done differently than for here.

No reason that I know that the wii-fit won't work as it's not powered by mains (4xAA batteries) but the Wii has a power brick which will need a new plug. Depends on what you attitude to risk is :-)

I'm off to America later this week and was wondering the same. I just bought a wii this week.

I think the problem is the UK games won't work in US machine and vice-versa. You need the disc with the wii fit to make it work AFAIK

Anyone know anything different? A wii fit would be good for $80 instead of nearly £100 here! (and I have plenty of luggage space!)

The other thing is that Nintendo don't have worldwide warranties. They'll only stick to legal minimum so if faulty in the UK they'll only uphold warranties if bought within the EU.
