I managed to withdraw my money on Sunday. It has left my account, but hasn't arrived in my current account. I can't get through to anyone at Icesave.
Can anyone advise me if I will still get my money?

The answer is probably. It can take up to 4 days and if you actioned it on Sunday it would have been done Monday so give it a few more days before trying to chase it"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

You don't seem to realise what the passport scheme is, nor how it works in relation to the FSCS.

I logged in to IceSave this morning around 8am and withdraw some of the money from my standard savings account, via BACS. It did not tell me I could not do this.
However now I see on their site that no transfers are being allowed and that they will update the site with more information soon.
I am hoping that this transfer will be in my account Thursday. I can then wait whilst things settle, to see whether my ISA is also something I should transfer.
With any luck we will have more news today.MFW #185

Both my CHAPS transfer out of ISA and BACS transfer out of savings with Icesave have been withdrawn from my Icesave balances. I now have about £550 left in there which hadn't cleared when I was making the withdrawals. Looks like I got in there in time last night, although I won't rest until I see the money into my linked account (the CHAPS transfer by close of play today and BACS by Friday at latest). To say I'm worried is an understatement, but I think I made the right decision even though several years of ISA allowance have gone. It was paying 6.1% tax free, but B&B 100% gold plated guaranteed instant savings pay 5.09% net, so for a couple of hundred quid a year I'd rather my money was safe. If it was Kaupthing I would not be panicking, it was just the whole passport thing that disturbed me. Needless to say I had about 2 hours sleep last night and it will be even less tonight if the CHAPS transfer hasn't cleared. :eek:0

ALL the sensible money related sites continue to make clear that monies in both KE and Icesave are protected to £50k....0
