According to the news just now, not only Glitnir, but the whole Icelandic banking system is teetering, and urgent talks are under way to rescue things. Of course, the tv news has now adopted a sensationalist approach to everything, including the weather forecasts! Nonetheless, it could be worth watching in the next few days. Can't remember the figures being quoted, but it didn't sound to good. Then again, unless you have a good understanding of the system, figures are pretty meaningless, and lend themselves to sensationalising, I suppose.
