I read a link on the net recently saying that Indian banks are more tightly regulated than UK banks so they are less exposed to sub prime rubbish.

    How do you know?

    Go on, prove it then.

I bet some ICICI shareholders definitely own Lloyds TSB shares. Just because you don't know who they are, doesn't mean to say they don't exist. :)

Anyhow, I think ICICI are probably alright. Just as 'probably alright' as HBOS are, anyhow.

given ICICI is a large publicly listed company that many pension funds own, they will be a significant number of institutions owning both

Soon Gordon Brown will own them all. He has enlisted the help of Peter Mandelson to be his secretary to write to all the banks, telling them he wants to buy a sausage.

I read about it in the newspapers. It was there in black and white so it must be right.

You suggested Lloyds tsb was a subsidiary of ICICI bank. It isn't. So you were 100% wrong.
