Packaging/Presentation ideas for set of 3 chutneys, please!

Options
Hi all!

For Xmas I am giving everyone a set of 3 homemade chutneys, but I have no idea how to pack them so they're "impressive", if you get my drift?

So...does anyone have any frugal and creative presentation ideas for packaging? They are each 250g (8oz) jars, if that's any help :)

Thanks! :money:

Depending on how many you are needing i have found these:

You have to buy them in lots of 10 so £8.40 and then postage and packaging on top. I thought they were really nice and not a bad price - as long as you need 10.

    Hope it helps. xxx

I really don't need 10 but those bags are perfect! Hmm I'm sure I can think of 10 people!
Can I just ask what chutney are you going for, it will be the first time I've made it this year and I quite like the look of Nigella's receipe but any advice would be greatly receievd!
    Thanks

  • We are making the following (diferent sets for different people)

Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's "Glutney" (in River Cottage Year)
Elderberry Chutney (tons of those around now, free is always the best price Lol)
    Elderberry Ketchup
    Elderberry Jam
    Mulled Spice Elderberry Cordial
    Red Onion Marmalade
    Bramble Jelly
    Damson Jam

Think there's something else but can't remember right now. It's great fun picking things as a family, making nice foodie things and then being able to share them.
I love the Jute bags. Might do that next year, am doing the stacking into bottle bags this year (have bottle bags leftover from last year)
  • I found an excellent recipe for Spicey Rhubarb Chutney on www.allotments.org.uk Its delicious.

Chutney sounds great but link does not work. I have some rhubarb in the freezer. Can you post again please as would love to make it. I made curried apple chutney & christmas chutney on friday. curried one is yummy but not tried the other one yet as needs to mature.

    Thanks
