Hi All
There have been various rumours flying about about the safety of any savings you might have in Icelandic banks, and the stability of the Icelandic economy. I would like to set your minds at rest and refute all these rumours.
Now, some might say that people are drawing their money out of Icelandic banks like there was no tommorrow; but I can assure you that this run on Icelandic banks will shortly stop, because soon there will be no money left...I mean, there is absolutely no need to panic.
Now. some might say that the FCSC scheme is a big con, because it could cost you thousands in lost interest; but I say, hey! stop sweating the small stuff: after all, it's only money.
Now, some might say that we will transfer your money to Iceland, and you will never see it again; but I say it's payback time for all that hassle we had to put up with over our fishing limits...I mean, where safer to keep your money than the home of Bjork and Magnus Magnusson and Bobby Fischer and all dem udder dudes?
Now, some might say that our Krona and the Zimbabwe dollar will soon be bedfellows; but I say, a box of matches is a very useful item.
Now some might say that the Icelandic economy is like a two week old cod fillet; but I say, don't worry, everything's fine...ship-shape...excuse me, while I put some Brut on this handkerchief. This clothespeg's killing me.
Do I keep my money in Icelandic banks? Of course I do. As well as our own bank, I have substantial deposits in USB and Coutts...I mean in Icesave and Kaupthing Edge.
But the biggest reason why you should keep your money in Icelandic accounts (And here's the clincher.) is because...because...ah, yes, because it's what your mother would have wanted.
Yours sincerely

In the field of investment, 99 per cent of everything is garbage. Why? Because we have "gearing". - Robert Beckman
