Firewire to USB???

I have got an external hard drive from work to back up my documents I have done at home...problem - no firewire port on computer only numerous USB. Does such a thing exist as a cable....with a firewire connector at one end and USB at the other.
Have searched various sites to no avail, so I thought I would ask you lovely people.
I know it probably does exist and I sound like a right simpleton, but I just cannot find one anywhere.
