Problem with bosch classixx dishwasher

We're having problems with out bosch classixx dishwasher and I'm struggling with the 5 of us to keep on top of the washing up! The dishwasher is only 2 years old.

The water doesn't seem to want to drain out of the bottom, having had the bottom panel off, there is a load of stuff in the big clear plastic waste container underneath.

I've taken the pump off and cleared that, there was a piece of ceramic plate in there which I have removed. but still the dishwasher won't work.
The dishwasher fills up, then the check water light comes on. I've made sure

Does anyone have one of these and can shed any light on how to get the waste container off? I can't see how its attached.

Thanks in anticipation of any help, we really can't afford to call anyone out, and I have no idea how much that would cost anyway.

thanks x

  • Hi We had a Bosch Classixx dishwasher which went wrong a few months ago. It was in guarantee so I rang Bosch. Apparently, there's been a manufacturing problem with some of them and they are fixed for free - don't know if yours is in that category but it's worth a try.
    Good luck

thank you so much for your reply, I'll ask my parents how long the guarantee was for. They bought us the dishwasher after they felt sorry for me and my chapped hands!!

If its a design flaw then the guarantee length doesn't matter, it should be fixed regardless. Of course if they dont admit its a design flaw then you might have a fight on your hands.

Last time I looked at appliances most Bosch ones came with a 2 year warranty.

I'd phone Bosch first and say you've heard there is a problem with the model and see what they say about it.
  • I'd also try ensuring the drainage pipe is also clean, as gunk can build up all the way to the soil pipe. I use a metal coat hanger first, then a whirligig-thingy if it's really blocked badly with food/soap scum sludge/etc, all of this carried out over a large bucket/waste bin in case of intense unblocking! Then I had to press and hold the start button for 5 seconds to force an override drainage (not sure of right words, but it empties the machine)

Mine was ultimately due to a tiny bit of mussel shell wedging in the pump at the wrong angle. Perhaps there is a another tiny piece of plate doing similar in yours? Then the sludge had the opportunity to build up and solidify whilst it was sitting there, so I had to clear the pipes too.

    Hope that helps.

thats very helpful, thank you very much for your help, I'll try the coat hanger thing and see if there's something going on as I can't figure out how to get the waste container off.

thanks again for your help i really appreciate it.

This sounds like a problem with your plumbing - there should be no way for sink water
to drain into the drain pipe of the dishwasher. Is your sink draining slowly, does the shared u bend need cleaning out?

    Hi!

I don't suppose you have any sort of Bosch reference for this problem do you?

I just phoned Bosch and the lady said she know's nothing about it!

My classix is having the same problem, and I'd like to get it fixed for free if I can!

    Thanks

  • I'm so sorry - I made a mistake. When I went to look up the details for you I found it was our Bosch fridge freezer which had the fault:o A01 Fridge Freezer KGN34V00GB/01. We had a letter last year confirming the fault and extending the warranty for two years from the date of the repair.

So sorry, our Bosch dishwaher is fine to date. Apologies again.
