music download site needed

can anyone recommed a decent free shareware site for downloading music files. it is only for downloading onto my laptop so don't need any for mp3 players or anything.

no such thing as a legal "Free Shareware" Music site....they are all P2P which is not allowed on the forum

will watch for any suspect posts and report them as they occur

Actually, there IS a shareware site for music. It's called Magnatune. There's some good music on there, availible in multi format download with a 'try before you buy' policy and no DRM.

You won't find any big names there, but you might discover something you've never heard before

Shareware is generally 'try before you buy' software. You're free to use the software for as long as you want, but if you use it for longer than an evaluation period you're expected to pay a small fee to the developer. This is usually done on the trust system rather than technologically enforced
