unused Northern Rock 6.5% savings account

I opened a Northern Rock savings account on 23/09 with 6.5% interest, and plan to put in the max £250 k when we sell our house in a few weeks. Now that they have closed the accounts do you think I will still be able to do this and get 6.5% interest?

They have only closed to new investors, so I guess you can.
