Didn't do anything I can remember.
Well reinstalled the bios, and put all the memory back. Still doing it.
I think I'm going to swap the ide channels and I'll see what that does.0 -
Well fitted a 400w power supply and it still doing the same thing while burning.
Did the cable swop as well as the IDE channel swap. Same thing
Seems really odd. I replaced the processor with a more powerful one and its still doing the same thing.0 -
Have you tried the DVD burner in another machine?
I still think its an IDE problem and as you've changed all other bits, it could well be your motherboard.0 -
Well I killed it.
Replaced the motherboard and then put the old one back now it doesn't work.
Oh well I'll have another play in the morning and then see if i can make it work again.
Edit: Couldn't sleep so had a play and another power supply bites the dust. They were used ones but must have been dieing as leaving them on for long periods of time doesn't seem to do them much good.0
