Calling all Benidorm Experts.

Aye Elvis I agree about the nightmare bit if they are loud drunks and being ignorant to people who are not Brits. We stayed in Lloret de Mar a few years ago and it was all Spanish in the hotels and we loved it and mixed with them and got invited over to their tables because we played all the daft games with them in the afternoon. Trouble was not being fluent it became very difficult to sustain a conversation with them after asking how many children do you have, where do you live etc. Also the entertainment was non existant, closed down for the Winter. As this is our xmas present from our kids, which we really appreciate, we thought we would like to go somewhere where we could mingle with some Brits and see some entertainment. It might not be for us but we have met some lovely people on holidays that we still keep in touch with so we are going to give it a try. Thanks for the info about the Queens and the Don pancho.
I think we are looking for sun now after the awful Scottish summer and have heard that sunshine produces vitamin D and has been found to help people with Parkinson's disease and the chronic pain of the disease, so looking forward to a short break away in the sun.

Well Taffyscot you'll get a good mix in Benidorm I'm sure. Of ages and nationalities. You'll love it I'm sure and I think the weather is nice through the winter if not really hot certainly warmer than here. I didn't mean anything horrid about the over fifties, I am one, its just that it sounds like we're old biddies when in fact we're the new thirties! I think I'm in denial and that I'm really only 25........:rotfl:

I think I will enjoy it and we are going to stay in the hotel center Benidorm so it is near the old town as well as the new town so can pick the old town over the new part, only a bus ride away. Thanks Elvis

Would recommend the Pelicanos/Ocas have stayed their 3 times am going in March with hubby for weekend and again in June. Not in the thick of it but 5 mins away from it all. I would book diy it is a lot cheaper book using the cashback sites saving ever more money. I went to Benidorm in 1992 and vowed never to return went back in 1995 and not a bit like it was, and it is not Blackpool in the sun. Plenty to do for all ages mum in law and father in law are very very fussy and have been a few times over the last few years.

It is still winter there, but a bit further south than the UK so if the sun is out at mid-day it will be warmer than the UK.
