free stocking filler ideas for an 11yr old boy?

Hi, am wondering if anyone has any ideas for stocking fillers for DS11. Am on a really really tight budget this year!

I have already sent off for loads of free bits like national geographical mag on fossils, and have found a canons site where i can download free paper model kits which I know will appeal.

Have also bought a great fleece blanket for £4 and am going to sew his swimming badges etc on it (more personal & saves on heating to boot!!!)biggrin.gif

Would be grateful for your knowledge

I know its not free but keep watchingthe £
shops,we are on a budget as well a while
back they were doing different items from
the football club shops.I got a really nice
Liverpool FC CD/DVD holder and a pack
of LFC recordable DVDs £1 each, they were
selling items with Chelsea,Arsenal & Everton
    on them

Got my son a really nice t shirt in Primark
£2.We have had some good stuff from the
£1 shops this year and intend to keep a
look out for stuff,We have noticed that
especially in the week before Christmas
they get really good stuff in.

  • Hi Rosekitten, thanks for that info - really useful. I dont suppose you can pinpoint which of the £ shops you managed to get those in - the LFC stuff would be ideal for my OH/son.

    Thanks

i know it's not free, but play.com have some really cheap things right now, i managed to get my daughter the current Rihanna CD for just £3.99.

Also, i know it doesn't help now, but there really are benefits to starting your shopping really early, i started at the beginning of the year and have managed to get everything already, and none of it i paid full price for :)
