Size of Icons on laptop are too big

Hi there

Can anyone tell me how to make the size of the icons etc return to their original smaller size. My son is complaining that he has to scroll across the page to see all the images and can't play his games properly.

I've tried the following: Control panel, display settings. It is currently on the lowest setting resolution 800 x 600 pixels so I cant make this any smaller.

Grateful for a solution.

Go to the other end of the scale 1280 x 800

Moneysaver is right, you need to go for a higher setting to make the icons smaller.

Try different resolutions to see which one you are comfortable with.
