I am looking at various stock brokers and buying shares, and I came accross www.iii.co.uk Interactive Investor.
They offer the £1.50 Portfolio Builder service (4 monthly dates) and this is free until the end of Dec 08. They also let you do real time trades for £10 for UK stocks.
I understand the back end of all this is provided by Halifax, but it's a little cheaper for the UK stocks.
Does anybody have any comments on this service? I have seen Selftrade, it's a little more expensive for real time and only deals once a month on the share builder method.

Anybody any comments?
Sorry to bump this up, I fear it will get lost behind all the posts about failing banks:rolleyes:0 -
Hi there,
I used iii once - still have an account but haven't used it since. The service was a bit flaky from the off - I transferred in a holding from Hargreaves Lansdown and between the two of them they made a right mess of things. I also didn't like the clunky look of the dealing pages, but that may have changed by now.
Meant to add - TMF has a brokers board where you might get more discussion/info.0 -
Thanks,
TBH I have looked at that board in the past and forgot all about it.
Thanks Again.
