At least silvercloud is expressing what many others are thinking. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

CG77 - It makes me sad when people post such sarcasm and judgement too. We've no idea of other peoples situation, we all lead such different lives. It isn't just 'poor' people who get into difficulties - spend any time on this board and that is obvious.
Good luck and hope if you ever need help, come back - most of us are sensitive and tactful.0 -
As Martin says on the main board 'this board is for help not for judgement' if posting i think you should just answer the question asked - sarcasm is not neccessary!0

At least what, or else?At least silvercloud is expressing what many others are thinking.
If I had no business on here I wouldn't be looking into this part of the forum, I would be out living my life and having fun! Strange what some people call fun - I think there is a word for it - voyeur.

I was disappointed by the comments above too, and surprised anyone feels they were 'useful', but then I guess that's the risk you take posting on an open forum. It's sad though that comments like this will make me (at best) wary of posting again, especially as I've been given some great advice over the past few months.

Ignore them CG...we as BR's know its a tough decision to go BR & a long road to getting back on our feet.
It's makes us a hell of a lot stronger though, so sarky comments like the above are water of a ducks back.BR 08/05/2008

Its the law of this land states that every child must recieve an education, so the question is does this childs extra needs exclude him from mainstream public schools?
If the answer is yes then the OP,s friend should be seeking some financial help with the extra costs to comply with the law.
The OR would have to look at it the same way as they have to allow for expenses out of the norm where it would force the BR to break the law by not doing so IMOThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

Hi all,
Not for me (our little one's still only 2!!), but a question on behalf of a friend. Can private school fees be included as allowable expenses in BR? She's worried she may have to take her daughter out of the school she's currently in if she goes BR.
Can anyone shed any light on this as I wasn't sure how it would work?
Thanks,
CG. x
I wish i knew the answer to this, I am about ot go BR, but my DH is going to pay my sons school fees. He is only at Nursery and altough he gets 2.5 funded per day we have to pay top ups for the other hour he does. And I want to send my 2yo in December, will cost us £300 a mnth for them both... not huge fees but preschool is important IMO and I think such fees should be allowed.
Yes there are totally free places available where I live but believe me I will not send my sons to those schools. I would rather Home Educate!!
Anyway no real advice, I would get your friend to get as much infor together ont eh child and WHY she needs the extra attention one to one care etc and see what they say,BSC Member 207 :beer:Mummy to 3 Wonderful Children 2 Boys and a Princess0 -
Thanks sunk, BAAB and incognito.
Great to see this thread getting back to the original point! Without the one-to-one help, or smaller class sizes which will allow a much smaller teacher/pupil ratio, the child in question would struggle to access the curriculum.
As I mentioned, I will tell my friend to gather all the info (from docs and other professionals involved) and see what they say.
Hope it's a positive outcome for her. I'll let you know the outcome if/when it comes to it.
