quick question

I have recently opened an alliance and leicester esaver account.

all set up with no problems, i have then transferred some money from my halifax current account; however this is showing up in my balance but not in my "available balance"

the money was transferred nearly 2 weeks ago:confused:

i'm not too concerned as it won't be going anywhere for a while but i don't understand why it's still not "available".

my understanding is that this would show up when the money had cleared, which it has now been for around 10 days???

any help would be appreciated

Was it a large amount of money? They are most probably doing checks.

You could ring them and find out as they are more likely going to know the answer.

Yes, 10 days is the norm for a DD transfer to show as cleared funds. You might be right on the limit since this will be 10 working days. Have another look Monday.
