Help !! Plumbing Problem

i need to replace the trap under my kitchen sink but the ones ive see screw directly onto the underside of the plug hole i have a length of plastic pipe that comes from the plug to the trap, the old one has fallen apart so cant be repaired.

You need to remove the part and go to a plumbing source. They will tell you what you need to buy to replace the broken trap. Even somewhere like Wickes or B&Q will have someone who knows about these things. I have quite often been able to help when asked, while in a store.
You might get some help on here if you can put up a picture of the damaged parts. Otherwise we are just guessing. By the way, what you call the plug hole, is actually called the sink waste.I can afford anything that I want.

I'd try and go to a plumbers merchants, some folks in B&Q may know what they are talking about but most dont and will tell you anything.0
