Want something I can use on the go, connecting to whatever wi-fi is available, eg hotel, MacD, coffee shops.
Main requirement is adhoc browsing. Also want to be able to write something that I can transfer to proper puter later...whether by USB or webmailing to myself Im not that bothered.
Want it pocket sized, no bigger.
iPod Touch £169 I guess is the most high profile device that seems to meet my needs.....what recommendations do you have? Happy to pay a bit more than that for additional functionality eg GPS, phone, or less for an old model that still does the job.

Nokia N800?There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I can unhesitatingly recommend the iPod Touch.
If you feel like spending £349, there's also the iPhone on Pay and go. It sounds a bit pricey, but you do get 12 months of free data use which means you can use the internet anywhere.0 -
