Kitchen units - mix & match B&Q/Wickes?

Hi,
I have some units (mostly wall units) from B&Q which are perfectly re-useable. But I need a number of base units and am trying to find the cheapest option.
Wickes have an extra 20% off today.
But I would need to buy replacement doors/fronts for all the units from B&Q - please does anyone know if the units themselves are standard sizes, i.e. could I safely buy all my base units from Wickes "Take Away" range and if I then get all my doors /drawer fronts from B&Q can I be sure they will fit the Wickes units properly?
Many thx in advance.

Aren't B&Q units 40% off at the mo?

hi Mandy,
Yes I think they are but Wickes are also 40-50% off plus the extra 20% today. I've been comparing the B&Q 40% off prices to the Wickes 40% prices and the Wickes ones seem to be around half the cost of the B&Q ones to start with and then I would get an extra 20% off today too.
As far as I can tell the basic unit sizes seem the same so I assume the doors and drawer packs from B&Q would fit but I'm just not certain - so would value anyone's opinion who has done this as to whether it has worked okay?0 -
B&Q will price match
Just take your quote for the units from Wickes!
You find that whilst doors might be the same size that where they put the actual hinges is slightly different so you will need someone with the skill and the correct tools to get new bits drilled into the doors or units. I'd be concerned about compromising the life span of the kitchen a bitEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You could also consider buying the units from Wickes and using the same style of doors? The high gloss slab doors I bet will be very similar indeed and you could just use the same handles to tie it together.
With the high gloss you can also use different colours. We have some cream and some applewood doors - we've tied the kitchen together by using black plinth/end panels for the whole kitchen.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
