I agree - there are good and bad in every profession. From personal experience, the local, smaller EA is generally better than the branch of a national. Locals tend to value their reputation more .....

Could be worse OP, I'm keeping my beady eye out in the same area as you (infact the house on Parkwood road is within spittnig distance of me at the moment) however my budget is much lower than yours.
Try searching Rightmove for houses in the area with no lower price limit, then spend AGES trawling through the million caravans/mobile homes that rightmove seems to think qualifies as a house.
lpus no option to search for freehold/leasehold which is a pain when looking at flats but not wanting to sort through the ones in huge blocks with massive service charges.0 -
I think they should put all the leasehold charges, ground fees etc in the description0
