Private Medical Insurance - BUPA OK?

i am looking to take out private medical ins after a recent really bad experience with nhs.
i have shopped around and bupa seem the best (not cheapest though). they seem to screen prior to giving policy for pre existing conditions etc and seem to offer great cover. like everything, whoever you phone says they are the best!
anyone had experience of bupa in event of a claim? what are they like?

I made a claim with BUPA a couple of years ago that is still ongoing and will be for at least another 5 years.
I guess they are like any other company, mistakes are made and you have to chase them up and be firm in order to get the mistakes rectified. (I had alot of problems getting them to accept the claim and it was a perfectly legitimate claim)
I'd say I am 99% happy with the service I have had so far from BUPA.
Even though I am not 100% happy with BUPA I would recommend them to others as overall they are good and if I hadn't had my early problems I'd give them 100%. (I think most of my early problems with them arose because of confusion concerning my pre existing conditions exclusions)
I have recently made another claim with them and my experience so far was so different to the first time I'm wondering if the call handler missed something!
If you would like to ask anything else i'll help as best I can.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
My experience is that BUPA are not the best when it comes to coverage but they are certainly up there with them.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
