Well as the title says.....I was trying to install Samsung PC studio on my laptop but think I did it wrong, it started downloading 311 things (this was what it said on the screen) anyway it was taking forever so I decided to cancel it as I've installed it on a computer before and it didn't take that long. So when I cancelled it all of these icons had appeared, they've got things like .dll after the file name. So I went to the start button and deleted PC studio that I had uploaded (or tried to) thinking they would all go but they haven't
Can anyone help me with this please? My laptop operates on Vista which I think may be part of the problem as I've always used XP and am not to sure what I'm doing if I'm really honest!
Thanks a lot

No it won't. You need to delete them all manually.0

Conor how do I do that? Is it just right clicking the mouse and deleting them or something more complicated? (sorry, I'm a total technophobe).

Try using add/remove programs, go to start then control panel then add/remove
if you right you will only remove the icon which is ok if any programs have installed0 -
I already deleted the PC studio from the list but the icons have stayed. If I were to go through and delete them all by right clicking would they remain anywhere else on the laptop? Also, I'm a bit worried as I'm not sure which ones are from trying to upload this thing and which ones were always there (told you I was a technophobe). Is there anyway of telling which ones have been added today??

I dont know about your last question, if you go into control panel are there any programs in there which you dont recognise from before you tried to install PC studio0 -
Manually delete all new icons on the desktop, you can marque them (draw a box around them) and hit delete they will go to your recycle bin. You might know whats what on the desktop (it's your's) and dont keep to many icons there.
What happened is you asked to unzip or create the instalation files directly to the desktop and its not Vista faulty, would happen in XP also, user error I'm afraid.
If you make a mistake check the contents of the recycler bin.
Then run setup again. No harm done.0 -
Ok I did a restore to earlier that removed some of the icons, tried to do a further one to an earlier point but it kept saying there was an unspecified error, there were still Icons that I have now deleted manually, my laptop looks the same as before, is there anything else I should do??Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0

You could try uninstalling this prog then reinstalling it on advanced, then only tick the boxes that you want installed from the prog. Sometimes programmes have other products built in thst you never use.You can't be lost if you don't know where you're going.0
