Dell Tech said to do this .....

I have a new Dell laptop about a week old and the sound is very tinny. I can hear it but it does not seem right and I am no audio buff. Anyway I emailed Dell technical support and they said to disable the A band on the wireless card and told me how to do it. So I have disabled 802.11a via Devise Manager and it sounds better but not wonderful, is there anything else I can do? Or have I been fobbed off.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Odd!
If it sounds better then it was obviously ok advice. However, im not sure what effect disabling 'band A' is going to have to your actual network funcionality!
Certainly nothing I can advise anyways, laptops sound 'c*ap' by default!:idea:0 -
It's a laptop, they have small speakers and they sound rubbish. Have you ever seen any speakers 1cm in size that've ever sounded any good other than headphones? No.0

you could try adjusting your audio settings in control panel, maybe increase or decrease the input\output and treble levels, and adjust the volume normally until you have a more desired effect.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

It might be an issue with the Wireless card interfering with the speakers.
Disabling the wireless fixed the audio...
Might be a manufacturing issue. do you need the "A Band" wireless?
If you do, get back on to Dell and let them know! they should fix it.
Dell Tech support in my opinion have usually been some of the best I've worked with..Laters

I am still getting online and printing via wireless having disabled the A band so I cannot need it.
Thank you everyone.0 -
I would return it, dell are not the best and that sounds like a defect in the model.
Return the laptop and buy an acer0
