ribbon printing machine

I am after a printer that can be used on ribbon , I have seen this but seems out of my price range (£499)http://www.ribbonprint.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=43

I know nothing about printers ,so any advice would be greatly recieved

ribbon printers are a very specialized niche market and that might be the going rate.

Another option is a sewing machine that does embroidery and letters. Think these were under £200, 2 years ago on ebay. They had various fonts, sizes etc

the ribbon I wish to print on is florist ribbon (poly) so embroidery is not an option .

Is there any other companys that do ribbon printers ? I have googled it but not much info

in google I just typed in "ribbon printer" "zx-40" and the 2nd lik I opened I got http://www.craft-robo.net/Ribbon_Printer.html for £359.10 + vat

I have no Idea if it is what you are after or how good it is.

its only that price if its purchased at the same time as a craft robo machine price on its own is 399......... I am also looking for one I have asked about them on a florists forum as yet to get any replies

If you find any info would you PM me and I will do the same ,seems expensive for what they are ,I am sure somewhere some how we can get it cheaper ,think I will ask in the craft/ special occasions section also .

Just stumbled upon this thread and thought I'd mention charmersuk.com which is where I bought my ribbon printer. They also supply a huge range of ribbons in many colours. Think the ribbon printer is around £450 + vat, but they do a business in a box which is only slightly more expensive and you get a few printing ribbons as well.
