Post Office keeping my Money

Tried to open PO account 12 Month Bond in Joint names.
Funds cleared 11th of August.They have failed to open Account(apparently my Wife does not exist,).Despite phone calls and letter to return money.Still nothing are they not breaking Banking
regulations?.
Any ideas John

On the limited information you have provided John, it would appear that there is a potential breach of the banking code. If you really feel that you have exhausted all avenues of complaint directly with the PO, then I think it's time to file a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service.
