Why won't iTunes let me.....

Upload some album artwork!!?? I've just loaded an album onto iTunes, I selected all the tracks, right click and selected "Get Info". I put the album artist in, the album name in and tried to put some artwork in too, but when I click ok its not there! The album name and artist are updated but it just won't let me have artwork for it! Does anyone know a way around this??

iTunes searches the Gracenote website for album info & artwork - http://www.gracenote.com/search_tools/

What I sometimes do is find the album on Gracenote then, if the artwork is there, right-click the image, selct Copy, go back to iTunes to the 'Get Info' window, click the 'Artwork' tab, right-click in the window and select 'Paste'.

My other method is, if downloading CDs into iTunes, is to scan the CD cover and do much the same procedure as above.

I know it's a bit of a faff, but the end result is worth it!

Get back to me if you need more info. Can't promise any further help tho', as I'm a newbie to iTunes just having treated myself to an 80GB iPod which cost me £8.49 from Amazon, after saving up all my Amazon vouchers from doing online surveys!:rotfl:

Didn't work! It seems to work fine, it let me paste it and I clicked ok, but the artwork just isn't there! This is doing my nut as its such a silly problem to have!
  • It's not silly...it's damn annoying :wall:

Sorry, I can't be more helpful. if you find any answers -let me know in case I get the same problem later!

    Good luck.

Is it definately a .jpg you're putting in? Try putting a different artwork in, doesn't matter which, in case iTunes is rejecting the file. Right clicking all the tracks and clicking 'Get album artwork' (only if you have an iTunes account) would be a simple answer...

Its def a .jpg and I've tried different files - no luck. I also tried "Get album artwork" but it said it couldn't find it.

My only suggestion here would be to delete the music and re-import it then, as another relatively simple step. I've never had this happen...
