Problems with New Look card payments

I recently took out a New Look card as I was getting 15% off a winter jacket. Plan being -pay it all off and cancel it. Paid it off 3rd Nov and got a statement last Friday showing they'd received nothing! Phoned the bank, they confirmed a payment had gone through, so they did some digging. Turns out New Look have changed the company who deals with their credit card. My payment went to GE Capitol and it now goes to Ikano. The bank advised me that GE Capitol had assured them, that my payment would reach New Look and would be back dated. I called New Look to let them know, but they weren't that helpful, suggesting I call GE Capitol ! Yesterday I received another letter slapping £20 on my balance, bringing it to £68 for non-payment! What can I do ? New Look changing their banks is outwith my control! I was so angry I've just written a stinging letter to the head of marketing, she signed the letter my card arrived with, copied it into the chief executive and the MD of finance and services. I know this is OTT but I can see this escalating. I was told hundreds of people have been affected so they should be getting their act together !
