You can go to lapland and stay in a fully catered chalet (all meals, tea and drinks etc) in Yllas going on the 28th Dec for £499 per person - this is nearly half the book price

go to lastminute.com
click on 'holidays'
pick 'winter and ski' from the holiday type dropdown list
pick 'lapland' from the destination dropdown list
then put in the 28th dec as you date and it will come up with the polar star catered chalet

it really is a good deal if you want to get away for new year but note that you share the cabin with other people and it does not take children under 12 - the skiiing will be great too ;-)

there are lots of other deals to lapland going on the 7th and 14th dec from about £200 each, do the same search as above but don't put in a date

yes - you got a great deal last year but that wasn't for christmas or new year week from what I recal ?

you cna still get teh £200 per person deals (SC) but not for those weeks - actually I think it was something like £600 for a family of 4 half board if I recal ?

Yes very tempted loved levi last year, looked at site again but prices coming up over £937 for 14th dec sc for 3 of us ?None for £199 ?? thinking of going to florida at the end of the month all in for £1000 and 2 wks... so its a case of sunshine or snow

only problem I have is I'll be 6 months pregnant by then, so no skiing for me

Great just my luck. I already booked for the 7th dec at £800 and booked xmas in Butlins for a week leaving on 30 dec for £719 all SC. I could have got a prime time holiday HB for less. Now I have to fork our for food in two expencive places.

you will still have a fab time in early dec and it will be nice and quiet

it does sound a fab deal - I would have gone for it if I was not already booked up to go that week and I have kids under 12

We're going from Bristol on 28th to the Chalet Polar Star and unfortunately dithered a bit too long and got it for £599 (still a fab deal though!).
