You need an external hard drive. Just copy all folders etc to it. Or burn all the files to disc.
As for programs, just uninstall them (Why would you need to though?)
My only main concern is SAVED PASSWORDS. Do you have any? if so which browsers do you use?:idea:0 -
best (easiest) bet is copy the my documents folder to a dvd, then use the recovery disks to format/clean the pc.Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

Also, I ~think~ Tescos is giving you incorrect advice.
I'm fairly sure that, as long as you advise them - for example in writing with proof of the date that you posted it - of a fault within warranty period, it would not be unreasonable for you to take a while to get it back to them, even if that took it beyond warranty period.
If that won't work, you could of course point out that the Sale Of Goods Act does not recognise the warranty period as limiting the supplier's obligation to you, but instead requires it to function for a reasonable period.0 -
Thank you for all your advice, the dvd drawer is broken on the laptop it is jammed and won't open so it is not possible to use. They only way I could save the documents is with a usb stick would that be a solution??
I am absoultely no good at pc technical stuff!!

USB stick is fine so long as its large enough to hold the documents, just cut and paste.:idea:0
