help wanted dvd player error

in Techie Stuff
when I put a dvd in it says wrong disc it has done this with a few dvds I have gave it a clean and stuck with what to do now any help would be grateful. I have never had any problems before this.

Sounds like you may need a new dvd drive. Have you tried a cleaning disc? (They have brushes on to clean the laser lens):idea:0

Is it a stand-alone player or one on your PC? Do you know what model it is?
Either way, a cleaning disc would be the first thing to try. If that doesn't work, you're probably looking at getting a replacement.0 -
