I put things in cold, and things are usually cooked after 6 to 8 hours on Low. If you look on the Old style thread, there's loads of helpful hints.
  • I have to say my memory dated back about 25 - 30 years, the slow cookers may well have changed in that time!!! That said, I have never known an overcooked stew come out of one!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

The slow cooker was going to be on sale from Sunday 5th, but I saw a notice in my Aldis saying due to problems this would not be available now. HTH

I went into one of the Aldi stores in cardiff and was told that the slow cookers had actually come into the store but were told to withdraw them from sale!!

    Very strange??
