I'm on the unlimited evening and weekend calls package and would just like to know whether BT charge a connection fee, or if it's completely free.

It's free;)
By connection charge do you mean call connection charge? If so, there isn't one.0 -
BT's standard 'call set-up fee' is 7p - but that is applied only to chargeable calls which aren't inclusive in your calls package (which, in your case, means evening and weekend UK 01, 02 and 03 calls are exempt as well as freephone calls).I'm on the unlimited evening and weekend calls package and would just like to know whether BT charge a connection fee, or if it's completely free.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
