After three weeks and various replacement parts, PC World are allegedly expecting to issue vouchers for a new PC.
Unfortunately that means from them:eek:
I would appreciate suggestions regarding a suitable replacement.
This is the PC I had and to be fair, I have been satisfied with it and had 4 years of virtually trouble free use
Can't get the link to work it's a
MedionXP PowerPlus 3200+
PC World no longer supply Medion so that's them out of the equation.
Thank you

How much money are you thinking of?:idea:0

Whatever PC World offer me?
Can't remember what I paid initially for the system, but it wasn't cheap, upwards of £1000. I know PCs are much cheaper these days, but from reading various sites it looks like they usually offer about £400.0 -
how on earth can a 4yr old be unrepairable? I can understand it could cost more money than its worth, but every PC can be fixed, even a new mobo/processor/ram/vga can be a fairly inexpensive fix.Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

Well maybe they mean that financially it is no longer viable to repair it..
I took in a working PC with a noisy fan!!!!
They have replaced fan, motherboard, CPU x 2!!! , taken it into their workshop because it wouldn't work, returned it to PC World and it still doesn't work.
Hence I think they want to get me off their back.
Three weeks and counting.0 -

Took it to them because it was covered by PC Performance, and I thought it would be repaired for free.
Do they ever successfully repair anything?
If the number of discontented customers in the ever expanding queues (4 visits to date)
is any indication, then the answer is probably not.0 -

Thank you for the suggestion, I will research that one.0 -
£400 gets you a decent spec laptop that'll be more powerful than the Medion was.0
