Icesave newby query

I have savings with icesave, over 20k, a 2 year fixed rate bond, I have no information/literature/booklet, If I wanted to, could I remove the money, I notice in my Abbey fixed rate savings I can only do this under 'exceptional circumstances'

As far as I know you cannot remove savings from an Icesave bond before the term is up unless you become terminally ill. I also have a fixed bond (expires in Jan 2010) that I'd like to remove from there.0

Once you've made your lump sum deposit you cannot make any withdrawals from your Fixed Rate Savings Account until maturity.
I presume that was the account you were referring to when you said 'bond'.

Hindsight being the wonderful thing it is, you may have been better off splitting the deposit.
Some in a 6 month, some in a 12 month and some in the 24 month.
Until recently I was opening 12 month accounts once a month, so that (what I tried to do) once a month I had one maturing once a month.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
