drinks were the killer, white wine spritzer was nearly £4!! I did feel at the beginning like I was the kind of 'organiser' keeping conversation going before OH turned up and then his son/daughter/daughter's friend were late as the taxi didn't arrive.

no........probably best I don't say..........trust me, it was a very poorly thought out comment, topping quite a few of his other comments over the years........you'd be at my front door within the hour brandishing very big frying pans....weirdly, although I was angry, I didn't get upset. I just thought - you stupid !!!!!!.

The friend of his daughter thought I was 'lush' as she hugged me in the pouring rain..............I think she was bit drunk though :rotfl:

oooooooooooh, I am so tired and feel yukky after getting wet and then sleeping with wet hair. Got wet again though earlier because when we got out of the taxi, the recycling bin had blown over and down the drive in the wind and the contents were strewn all the way down the drive. It was all soggy already so left picking it all up until this morning, yuck, loads of soaking paper every where.

Right, need to go out and get the ingredients for Tuesday night and the 'test' ingredients to try the recipes for Thursday.

BB - you are lush, so there :p Sounds like the night went fairly well and OH's relatives sound nice.

I had an OK night out, was a bit weird as the only people I knew were from work so it felt a bit like a work night out. Managed to only spend £7 which wasn't bad considering it was over £4 for a glass of wine in there! (lets just say I gave up on the wine after one glass, and other people bought me a few lagers). Horrible walk home in the rain - wasn't far enough to justify a taxi - and I nearly lost my foot down a broken drain!!

Tired today - just been watching the GNR and sniffling at the dedications :o

I still managed to spend nearly £45 last night, which really hurt and all I spent it on was the taxi there, 1 drink at the restaurant waiting for everyone (£4) a round in the cheesy bar (which was £22 - ouch!) and then 4 tequilas for me and the 'youngsters' which was another £10...... _pale_
