ooh, ta Buffy. I wanted to teach right from school but then went off into PR. I was with a PE teacher for 14 years so know the 'thrills' of being a teacher, although adult education does seem to come with it's own special brand of humungous piles of paperwork!! Eventually, I think I would like to teach Media Studies at GCSE/AS/A level at an FE college or perhaps open my own small cookery school somewhere so getting the teaching qual. is a good step towards either. Maybe I'll just stick to doing bits of evening class teaching in cookery or Media stuff and I'll end up as a 'suit' again within Adult Education if I get offered the opportunity. Maybe I might do a bit of media training consultancy work if I can get it, I think that idea will depend on how my first Media handling session I'm doing on Monday goes.
The only bit I'm not enjoying is the standing for 3 hours! How do teachers stand up all day??! :rotfl:

One foot at a time usually..but i always have a nice comfy chair and find that in Primary schools the tables are at bottom perching levels:rotfl:
Hey up Ellidee where have you been hiding?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Helllppppp, my home has been invaded...............by 5 teenagers, all age 15/16 3 girls two boys and my son.
They have taken over the downstairs playroom and I have just seen my son cuddled up under a fleece throw with one of the girls:eek:.....my youngest is in there now with them as a spy;)
They have decided that they would like chicken curry and pizza for dinner........well at least they are not wandering the streets:cool:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Lou,
I worry about those days, I really do...I know what I was like as a teenager!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
