Thanks quoia, may I ask how you find that online version? :o

It didn't scan at tesco despite SA's best attempts (had to use a 30p and 50p off coupon, I'm coupon-poor :(). Tesco are quick to block them aren't they![/quote]

They are now...at last. Took them long enough to realise they needed to do so.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Can the book coupon be 'legally' used at Waitrose? I am just getting my mum into coupons and she shops at Waitrose where they are very generous so I don't want her to use it if it is not allowed like at Tesco.

I wonder if the £5 off kids clothes will scan on £20 of normal shopping at Tesco

If it helps, i've just used this coupon to buy Azincourt at Asda, it cost me £6 with the coupon!:T

I can confirm that Waitrose do accept the Daily Mail book tokens if you don't actually buy the book - provided that they stock the book.

I asked the SA about using one of these tokens..who asked Customer Services...who rang Head Office...who couldn't respond immediately. But Head Office did eventually confirm that they can accept these if you don't buy the book but provided they sell the book. There is a note in my local store diary now to this effect.

In general I find that Waitrose are helpful about vouchers but not all SAs know that you can redeem coupons without buying the products, provided they sell them. In any case they are much more pleasant about it than Tesco!
