How do you shorten a link???

Hello

When ever I post a link I the great big long web page address covering most of the page.How do you get the click HERE thingy.Probably very straight forward for you techie minded people but I've tried always and obviously not the right way.

Go advanced in a post then click the Hyperlink icon (looks like a globe
with a couple of metal links below it) then enter the text to be displayed
i.e DVLA and then OK then paste the actual link into the next box
then click Ok. Then choose Preview Post..

Like that but no space at the beginning

type here, then highlight it, then click insert link above and insert the link. You don't even have to use the word here.:beer:
