Yes the market is crashing but why would people sell up?

Surely the best way would be to hang on in there especially for those who have bought in the last 2 years who are now in negative equity. For others who bought before this, then why sell unless they really needed to?

I suppose it might make sense to sell if this was a case of advancing your plans rather than bringing them into being - if you intended to downsize in, say, 12 months' time, it might be an idea to do so earlier, perhaps.

Yep agreed Neverdespairgirl but the way he worded it was that everyone should get out now.

I was merely pointing out that not everyone thinks in monetry terms and if they have no need to move then why sell.

I got burnt in the last recession (we called the bottom of the market wrongly) where we were stuck with massive negative equity and eventually forced to sell due to circumstances and i wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy, if only we could have stayed put we would have ridden the recession out and not lost our home.

Since then, I have taken an avid interest in what the market is doing without actually wanting to ever enter the market again.

I think we can see you are not much use as a Mortgage Advisor as you haven't provided any useful information or analysis.

Actually, I haven't heard your analysis yet, I wonder why. :rotfl:

I asked first. Can you produce the figures or can't you. If you can't then shut up. You are making your self look a complete idiot.

Blisk, maybe you could answer my post regarding the reason why everyone should sell now given the information in my post.

Answer the questions, change your user ID or disappear forever.

You obviously don't have the intelligence to answer the questions. DOH!
