wouldn't have thought so as i told you yesterday - have you changed your mind already?

what's wrong with embracing the actual facts of April's Nationwide figures?

i'm pretty sure you'll be able to buy yourself a house - don't worry it won't be shooting up too quickly, unless you were comparing it to the early 80s recession, we know what happened there don't we :D

It wouldnt be shooting up really, any time the line stays below the zero black horizontal line the price is still falling.

All we've seen there is a decline in the rate of change, so gigantic falls seem less likely now but we havent reached the bottom or even close to it

Jay's prediction there sees prices still falling by 6% this time next year, so fairly gloomy

Hmm, is that right? It's YoY falls, so it could increase one month to the next but still be down YoY.

People think that a small drop or a small increase is a sign of recovery, which is not the case.

All you FTBers need not to panic, as we will scrap around at the bottom for months and months and for at least as long as the recession lasts. Plenty of time to view houses and negotiate a good percentage off the asking price.

Any first time buyer predicted 50, 60, 70% falls are should now be realising how deluded they were.
